Day 2: Cross International Date Line.
Day 3: Arrive Delhi
Arrive tonite in India’s capital city of Delhi. You are greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted to the TAJ AMBASSADOR HOTEL.
Day 4: Delhi Sightseeing
This morning tour New Delhi - drive along Rajpath to view Parliament House, the President’s House, India Gate. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. Afternoon visit Old Delhi. Among your stops are the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. (B)
Day 5: Delhi / Ranthambhore
An early morning train ride takes you on an exciting journey through the countryside to Ranthambhore, where the remains of a thousand-year-old fortress, have been reclaimed by nature. Today, it is a wildlife sanctuary, where leopards and tigers prowl the ruins. Stay at RANTHAMBORE REGENCY. (BLD)
Day 6: Ranthambhore Game Reserve
Ranthambhore is one of the few preserves where the nocturnal, camera-shy tigers may be seen in daylight. You’ll enjoy thrilling game drives in the morning and evening in search of wildlife. (BLD)
Day 7: Ranthambhore / Jaipur
After a morning game drive, leave for the “pink city” of Jaipur, where the old city is surrounded by a massive wall pierced by magnificent gates. Your tour of Jaipur takes you to Hawa Mahal or “Palace of Winds,” continues to City Palace, characterized by balconies, tiny windows, cupolas, courtyards and arched entrances, and the ancient astronomical observatory built by Jai Singh. Day 8: Amber Fort / Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary, Bharatpur
Today you are transported back in time, riding royally atop decorated and painted elephants up to mountain fortress-palace of Amber, a spectacular master piece of Rajput architecture protecting a complex of palaces, temples, exquisite marble and mirror-inlaid halls and apartments. Continue your drive to the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur, home to over 350 species of birds. Walk along the beautiful trails in the sanctuary lined with Babul trees. LAXMI VILAS PALACE. (B)
Day 9: Bharatpur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra
Rise early to visit the park and enjoy either a pedicab or boat ride (water levels permitting), with the opportunity to seethe many species of birds, flocks of ducks, widgeons, herons and spoonbills in graceful flight. After a lunch at the lodge, continue your drive to Agra, the last capital of the Mughal Empire in India, stopping en route at the ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Upon arrival in Agra explore the 16th century Agra Fort, with its battlements, apartments, gardens and halls of audience. Enjoy an extended visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal and witness the transformation as the monument reflects the warm glow of a perfect structure whose delicate beauty is beyond description. Day 10: Agra / Jhansi / Khajuraho
This morning experience a train ride to Jhansi. Continue by road to Khajuraho, en route visiting Orcha, a medieval city frozen in time and space, existing to this day as it must have in the 17th century. HOLIDAY INN. (B)
Day 11: Khajuraho / Bandhavgarh National Park
Morning visit the Western & Eastern group of Temples followed by drive to Bandhavgarh National Park in the hills of the Vindhyan Ranges, home of the white tiger and other species such as Indian bison, sambar deer, barking deer and blue bull. Day 13: Bandhavgarh / Kanha National Park
After a morning game drive in Bandhavgarh, travel to Kanha, the original country Rudyard Kipling so vividly described in his Jungle Book. Kanha has some 22 species of mammals: most commonly spotted are langur, jackal, wild pig, spotted deer, swamp deer, sambar and black buck. You may also see tiger, Indian hare, wild dog, barking deer, Indian fox, sloth bear, striped hyena, panther, mouse deer, Indian bison, jungle cat, four horned antelope, blue bull, ratel and Indian porcupine. Kanha also has some 200 species of birds. Spend two days game viewing and bird watching in Kanha, a true haven for the animal and avian population. WILD CHALET (BLD)

Day 15: Kanha /Nagpur

Day 16: Nagpur/Mumbai (Bombay)
Fly to Mumbai (formerly Bombay), India's most cosmopolitan city. Your tour of Mumbai includes the British-built "Gateway of India," the Hanging Gardens and Malabar Hills—where Mumbai's rich and famous live—the Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat, Marine Drive, the Gandhi Memorial Museum and Jain Temple. A room will be provided for washing up and changing clothes at RAMADA INN. Late this evening, transfer to the international airport for your flight back home. (B)
Day 17: Arrive Home
Today arrive home, filled with colorful memories of your experience of the Splendors of India & Nepal.
