SALES MANAGER (Outside Sales) - EAST COAST CANADA
Responsibilities:
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing business and reaching target requirements for their assigned territory. This requires frequent travel and communication with various entities, including Tourism Boards and Travel Agencies/Consortiums. Other responsibilities include:
- Securing preferred supplier status with consortiums
- Maintaining and developing relationships with Tourism Boards
- Joint Campaigns
- Seminars / Presentations
- Travel agent product training
- Destination knowledge
- Customer / Client services
- Client meetings / sales calls and follow up
- Supplier involvement when applicable
- Building Group business
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years experience working with a Tour Operator
- Familiar with key decision makers for various travel agencies/networks
- Familiar or have traveled to exotic destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Africa, India, Asia and South America
- Able to make travel product presentations to travel agents/destination knowledge in front of audiences which can range as high as 60, 70 agents at one time.
- Able to travel without restrictions/valid drivers license
- Must have excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking. Must be able to create proposals and close agreements/sales prospects with preferred agencies and consortiums
- Sales-oriented, target driven, proven records in sales with costing
- Honest and hardworking
- Excellent time management skills and organizational skills
- Must be capable of multi-tasking
- Strong computer stills – proficient in Word, Powerpoint, Excel
