Day 2 Sun: London / Nairobi
Arrive in London and connect with your evening flight to Nairobi, Kenya.

KENYA

Day 3 Mon: Arrive Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi, where you are escorted to your luxurious accommodations at NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL.

Day 4 Tue: Nairobi / Mount Kenya
Drive through the fertile central highlands to SERENA MOUNTAIN LODGE on the flanks of Kenya’s highest mountain and secreted deep within her largest forest reserve. Fall asleep to the symphony of the African night or sit in stillness and observe the fascinating interplay of the animals as they arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the water hole. (BLD)

Day 5 Wed: Mount Kenya / Sweetwaters Game Reserve
Awake to the trumpeting of elephant before we continue to Sweetwaters Game Reserve for a game drive and a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. SWEETWATERS TENTED CAMP (BLD)

Day 6 Thu: Sweetwaters Game Reserve/Masai Mara Game Reserve
Fly across the Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara Game Reserve, the highlight of any East African safari. Afternoon game drive. MARA SERENA SAFARI LODGE (BLD)

Day 7 Fri: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara, widely considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve. A balloon safari is also available (additional cost).

TANZANIA

Day 8 Sat: Masai Mara Game Reserve/Nairobi / Arusha
Enjoy one last morning game drive in Masai Mara Game Reserve before returning to Nairobi by air. Upon arrival, connect with your flight to Tanzania. Overnight SERENA MOUNTAIN VILLAGE. (BD)

Day 9 Sun: Arusha / Lake Manyara National Park
Travel to Lake Manyara National Park, and the LAKE MANYARA SERENA SAFARI LODGE, which is located on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. (BLD)

Day 10 Mon: Lake Manyara National Park
Enjoy a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on the grassy plains, as do giraffes, some of which are so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance. (BLD)

Day 11 Tue: Ngorongoro Crater
Ascend through the highlands to the very rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Situated on the crater’s rim, NGORONGORO SERENA SAFARI LODGE offers a magnificent view of the crater below. From there, descend into the crater for game viewing. Vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, buffalo, and their predators—the big cats—roam the crater floor. (BLD)

Day 12 Wed: Ngorongoro Crater/Olduvai Gorge / Serengeti National Park
Visit Olduvai Gorge, an archeological site extensively excavated by the Leakeys. Continue to Serengeti National Park, where huge herds of wildebeests, antelopes and zebras provide an unequalled wildlife spectacle. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. SERENGETI SERENA SAFARI LODGE (BLD)

Day 13 Thu: Serengeti National Park
Take morning and afternoon game drives along the river and out on the plains among the vast herds of migratory animals. A balloon safari is also available (additional cost). (BLD)

Day 14 Fri: Serengeti National Park / Depart
This will be your final opportunity to bask in the unmatched grandeur of the African safari lands, before you fly to Arusha for lunch. A day room is provided at SERENA MOUNTAIN VILLAGE before you transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight. (BL)
