Day 1 Mon: Arrive Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town, where you are met and escorted to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. VICTORIA & ALFRED HOTEL (Deluxe) or TABLE BAY HOTEL (Luxury)

Day 2 Tue: Cape Town & Winelands
Tour the old Cape Malay Quarter and visit the South African Museum before driving out into the scenic valleys of the Winelands. Sample local wines at an estate, and then continue to the historic Dutch town of Stellenbosch for lunch (at your own
expense). Enjoy a tour of this charming town with a visit to the museum. (B)

Day 3 Wed: Cape Peninsula
Today, explore the Cape Peninsula. Drive along the False Bay coastline via Boulders Beach (penguin colony) to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Cape Point, at the tip of the peninsula, is regarded as the meeting place of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Return to Cape Town via the scenic Atlantic Coastline. (B)

Day 4 Thu: Cape Town / Kruger – Sabi Sand
Fly via Johannesburg to JOCK’S SAFARI LODGE (Deluxe) located within the Kruger National Park, or SABI SABI BUSH LODGE (Luxury) located in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve bordering Kruger National Park. Enjoy your first afternoon/ evening game
drive. Later, experience a delicious dinner under the starlit sky. (BLD)

Days 5 & 6 Fri & Sat: Kruger / Sabi Sand
Roam the reserve in open 4WD vehicles in search of elephant, leopard, cheetah, kudu, giraffe, Cape buffaloe, hippo and other species. Other activities offered include interpretive bush walks, bird watching, game viewing from hides and river fishing. (BLD)

Day 7 Sun: Kruger / Sabi Sand Game Reserve / Johannesburg
Enjoy one last morning game drive before you fly to Johannesburg, South Africa’s commercial and cultural center. PROTEA HOTEL BALALAIKA (Deluxe) or MELROSE ARCH (Luxury) (B)

BOTSWANA

Day 8 Mon: Johannesburg / Livingstone / Chobe National Park
Fly to Livingstone, Zambia and from there you are escorted by road and boat to Chobe National Park in Botswana. Stay at either CHOBE SAFARI LODGE (Deluxe) or CHOBE CHILWERO (Luxury) overlooking the Chobe River and Caprivi floodplain.
These combined wetlands, dry woodlands and savannas are home to a huge elephant population. Enjoy a late afternoon sunset cruise. (BD)

Day 9 Tue: Chobe National Park
Take morning and afternoon game drives in open 4WD vehicles and powerboats. At day’s end, return to the lodge for another spectacular sunset on the Chobe River. (BLD)

ZAMBIA

Day 10 Wed: Chobe / Livingstone
After a morning game drive, return to Livingstone. Take an evening sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River. ZAMBEZI SUN (Deluxe) or THE ROYAL LIVINGSTONE (Luxury) (B)

Day 11 Thu: Livingstone (Victoria Falls)
Tour the falls with its vast curtain of water that is nearly a mile wide and 355 feet high. The afternoon is at leisure for optional activities such as Elephant-back Safari, bungee jumping, Flight of Angels and others. (B)

Day 12 Fri: Livingstone / Depart Johannesburg
Fly to Johannesburg to connect with your departure flight. (B)

OPTIONAL EXTENSION TO KENYA

Day 12 Fri: Arrive Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg where the afternoon is at leisure to rest before the next part of your safari in Kenya. SOUTHERN SUN JOHANNESBURG AIRPORT or AIRPORT SUN INTERCONTINENTAL (B).

Day 13 Sat: Johannesburg / Nairobi
Fly to Kenya. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you are met and escorted to your luxurious accommodations at NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL. (B)

Day 14 Sun: Nairobi / Sweetwaters Game Reserve
Drive through the fertile central highlands to Sweetwaters Game Reserve for a game drive and a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. SWEETWATERS TENTED CAMP (BLD)

Day 15 Mon: Sweetwaters Game Reserve / Mount Kenya
Travel to SERENA MOUNTAIN LODGE on the flanks of Kenya’s highest mountain and secreted deep within her largest forest reserve. Fall asleep to the symphony of the African night or sit in stillness and observe the fascinating interplay of the animals as they arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the water hole. (BLD)

Day 16 Tue: Mount Kenya / Masai Mara Game Reserve
Awake to the trumpeting of elephant before we fly across the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, the highlight of any East African safari. MARA SERENA SAFARI LODGE (BLD)

Day 17 Wed: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara, widely considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve. A balloon safari is also available (additional cost). (BLD)

Day 18 Thu: Masai Mara / Depart Nairobi
Enjoy one last morning game drive in Masai Mara Game Reserve before returning to Nairobi by air. A day room is provided at the NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL. You have the option of visiting the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Manor (additional charge) before your departure. Alternatively, end this tour with a relaxing beach holiday along the East African Coast. (B)
