11 Days Livingstone, Chobe National Park, Moremi, Okavango, Makgadikgadi
Day 1: Arrive Livingstone
Arrive Livingstone and transfer to THORNTREE RIVER LODGE. (D)
Day 2: Livingstone
Choose between boat cruises on the Zambezi River, game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park (entrance to be paid direct), visits of the Victoria Falls (entrance to be paid direct), fishing or cultural excursions. (BD)
Day 3: Livingstone / Chobe
Travel by road and boat to ELEPHANT VALLEY LODGE in Chobe. Twenty ‘meru’ style luxury safari tents overlook an extremely productive water hole. This evening cruise along the Chobe River in a spacious ‘skimmer’. (BLD)
Day 4: Chobe National Park
Join a qualified guide on a morning and afternoon safari from the comfort of a custom built game viewing vehicle. (BLD)
Day 5: Chobe / Moremi
Fly to the Moremi Game Reserve and transfer to CAMP OKUTI with game viewing en route. (BLD)
Day 6: Moremi Wildlife Reserve
Safaris at Camp Okuti are all conducted in open safari vehicles in the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Excursions by motorboat afford the pportunity to explore the Upper Delta. Hippos and crocodiles are abundant in these areas and easily visible from the motorboat. (BLD)
Day 7: Moremi / Okavango
Fly to POM POM CAMP situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The area offers a true Okavango wilderness experience. Accommodation consists of nine luxury safari tents in true traditional safari style with full en-suite facilities. (BLD)
Day 8: Okavango Delta
Activities include game drives, night drives, mokoro trips and walks. One has the opportunity of seeing all major predators, a variety of big game and plains game, as well as an abundance of bird life. (BLD)
Day 9: Okavango / Makgadikgadi
Fly to Maun and continue to our camp by road. MENO-A-KWENA TENTED CAMP is situated on the high cliffs overlooking the dry Boteti River bed, bordering the Makgadikgadi National Park. The viewing area high up on white calcrete and silcrete cliffs is the centerpiece of the Meno-A-Kwena experience, as are the views from the accommodation tents. (BLD)
Day 10: Makgadikgadi National Park
The contrast of riverine and desert habitats puts the camp in the unique position of a wide variety of flora and fauna. In the dry season, April to December, Southern Africa’s largest wildebeest and zebra migration arrives from the pans, and elephant frequent the Boteti having traveled great distances from the northern areas. Day 11: Makgadikgadi / Depart Maun
Following the morning activity, transfer to Maun for you onward connections. (B)
