5 Days / 4 Nights
Day 1: Arrive Cuzco - City Tour & Sacsayhuaman
On your morning tour of the city, you will visit
the imposing Cathedral, the Santo Domingo Monastery,
nearby Inca baths of Tambomachay and the
semi-circular Kenko Amphitheater. See the ancient
site of Puca Pucara before reaching the Temple of
Sacsayhuaman, “House of the Sun,” perched on a
hillside overlooking Cuzco. It still remains
unfathomable how and when this fortress of gigantic
stones—with some blocks weighing more than 350
tons—was built. Overnight in Cuzco.
Day 2: Cuzco / Sacred Valley of the Incas
You will be driven through a scenic landscape to
the Urubamba Valley, the “Sacred Valley of the
Incas.” Arriving at the town of Pisac, you will
visit the colorful Pisac Market, where the locals
meet to sell their merchandise, just as they have
for centuries. The tour continues to the town of
Ollantaytambo, where you will climb up to its
imposing Inca fortress. Lunch will be provided at a
local restaurant. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

Day 3: Machu Picchu
You will arrive by train in the Aguas Calientes
Station, where you will be transported by bus to the
top of the mountain and citadel of Machu Picchu, one
of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture.
Surrounded by lush cloud forest and lost in history,
Machu Picchu was not discovered until 1911 by the
American explorer Hiram Bingham. After a guided
visit of the ruins, you will have a self-service
lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight in Aguas
Calientes. (BL)
Day 4: Machu Picchu / Cuzco
As the sun rises over the mountains, watch the
morning mist disappear to reveal this awe-inspiring
city. The giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if
they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock
escarpments. Return by train to Cuzco. Reception and
transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is at
leisure. Overnight in Cuzco. (B)
Day 5: Depart Cuzco
Transfer to the airport for your departing
flight.
