Day 1: Depart North America / Arrive Lima
Depart North America today and arrive in Lima, Peru.
You are welcomed and transferred to the hotel.
Day 2 : Lima – City Tour & Larco Herrera Museum
After a leisurely morning, embark on your tour of
Lima. Your local expert focuses on the city’s colonial
heritage during a walking tour. Start at the Plaza de
Armas to see the Government Palace and visit the
Cathedral, where the skeleton of Francisco Pizarro is
sealed in a wooden coffin. From there, stroll to the
venerable San Francisco Monastery, with its splendid
17th-century cloister murals. Next, stop at Lima’s
famous Herrera Museum. This evening, enjoy a welcome
dinner at a La Rosa Nautica Restaurant. (BD)
Day 3 : Lima / Cuzco / Sacsayhuaman
Fly to the oldest inhabited city in the Western
Hemisphere: Cuzco. Today, visit several ruins, including
Kenko and Tambomachay. Journey to the “Valley of the
Incas” to the Sacsayhuaman Fortress. Later, see the
hillside fort and Puca Pucara, which most likely served
as a lookout post and stopping point between Cuzco and
the Sacred Valley. (BL)
Day 4 : Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu
Travel aboard the Vistadome train from Cuzco to the
archeological wonder of Machu Picchu, built in the late
14th century. Machu Picchu was obviously a well-planned
and carefully built city, made up of two clearly
different sectors, one agricultural and the other urban.
With mountains to one side and a river roaring far
below, this solemn fortress is a fascinating remnant of
a once-bustling city that was mysteriously abandoned
after the middle of the 16th century. Secreted amidst
dense jungle vegetation and steep hills, Machu Picchu
remained undiscovered by the modern world until 1911.

Day 5 : Machu Picchu / Cuzco
As the sun rises over the mountains, watch the morning
mist disappear once again to reveal the awe-inspiring
city of Machu Picchu, probably the most amazing urban
creation of the Inca Empire. Return to Cuzco aboard the
“Inca Train.” Sip a cup of tea and enjoy panoramic views
as the beautiful greenery of the Urubamba Valley rolls

Day 6 : Cuzco / Julliaca / Puno
Depart Cuzco by flight for Julliaca. Upon arrival, drive
to Puno. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Perched at a breathtaking 3,800 meters (12,400 ft.)
above sea level, Puno and the surrounding countryside
are the cradle of the Aymara civilization and the
legendary birthplace of the founders of the Inca empire.
Puno lies on the shore of Lake Titicaca, the world’s
highest navigable lake, from whose waters the Inca
believed Manco Capac, their cultural founder, emerged.
Many ethnic groups like the Uros still depend on the
resources of the lake for their living. The Uros
themselves dwell on the floating islands they build with
the lake’s reed vegetation. Near Puno, overlooking Lake
Umayo, are chullpas, or burial towers, that once served
as the tombs of high-ranking Aymara Lords. Overnight in

Day 7 Magic Titicaca & Winaymarca
This morning you will be transported to Copacabana
by car. Upon arrrival, visit the Shrine of the Dark
Virgin and town. From Copacabana start your hydrofoil
cruise across Lake Titicaca, a smooth and comfortable
experience.Visit Moon Island, where the Sun Virgin’s
Temple is and where the most beautiful virgins of the
Incas were conserving a sacred fire dedicated to their
Gods. Continue to Sun Island, where you will visit the
Inca stairways & sacred fountain believed to grant
eternal youth and happiness. Have Lunch at Uma Kollu, an
archaeological and panoramic restaurant. After lunch
continue to Huatajata. Enjoy the Inter Cultural
Integration program in the “Andean Roots Eco- Village”,
the Chullpas mortuary towers, handicrafts and folkloric
area, meet the Limachi Brothers, builders of the RA II
and TIGRIS for Thor Heyerdhal epic expeditions and
pamper the llamas. Overnight at the Inca Utama Hotel &
SPA, a unique hotel in Titicaca Lake. (BL)
Day 9 Full day tour of island Pariti, Kalauta and
Urus Island on Tititaka lake
After breakfast, take a hydrofoil cruise to the island
of Pariti. Visit the Island & the Museum of Pariti where
you will observe the high artistic quality found in the
Tiwanaku ceramic pieces. Kalauta Island, the largest
ancient necropolis on Lake Titicaca, is reached by
navigating through swinging Totora reed canals. Continue
to the Urus Irultos Floating Island and the sustainable
project at Quewaya Island. After the visits return to
Huatajata. Lunch at La Choza Nautica, a restaurant on
the water. The afternoon at at leisure. The day ends
with an evening of stargazing at the Alajpacha
observatory, discovering the nature of local legends in
the magnificent sky of the southern hemisphere.

Day 10 Depart Huatajata to La Paz via Tiwanaku Ruins
After breakfast, you will be transferred to La Paz,
via Tiwanaku Ruins. The magnificent ruins of Bolivia are
remains of one of the oldest civilizations in the
Americas. The Sun gate, the temple of Kalasasaya and the
pyramid of Akapana offer a glimpse of a glorious past.
Tiwanaku culture was an agrarian based economy with an
estimated population of 115.000 Aymaras. They were
outstanding in agriculture, hydraulic, architecture &
medicine, as well as in social organization. Due to an
economical crisis caused by a long dry season, Tiwanaku
collapsed around 1.000 AD. In the afternoon, enjoy a
city tour and a tour of Moon Valley. The City of La Paz
and its surroundings will transport you to its
mysterious past where any corner, any street, is a
living history that treasures the traditions and magic
of the pre- Hispanic times with all their. The Native,
colonial and modern areas, Indian Market, Open Air
Museum of Tiwanaku, Witch Doctor's Market & breathtaking
panoramas are all framed by the majestic "Illimani"
mountain. Farewell dinner at the hotel this evening. (BLD)
Day 11 Depart La Paz to Sucre
Transfer to La Paz airport this morning to take your
flight to Sucre. In the afternoon, take a city tour that
includes La Recoleta and San Francisco Church, the House
of Liberty where Simon Bolivar signed the Independence
of Bolivia, the second oldest university of the
continent - San Francisco Xavier and the colorful local
market.(B)
Day 12 Depart Sucre to Potosi
Leave Sucre by land to Potosi. Drive through unique
panoramas of mountains and valleys.
Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, take a city
tour of Potosi - a city that was declared by Unesco as
"The Historical and Cultural Legacy of Mankind." The
tour includes a visit to La Casa de la Moneda (closed on
Mondays) which conserves the unique wooden machinery
brought in the 17th century from Spain, the cloister of
San Francisco, the cathedral, and more. You will also
visit a mine and enter the underground world of miners
and mystics. Late afternoon return to Sucre. Transfer to
your hotel. (BL)
Day 13 Depart Sucre to La Paz
After breankast transfer to Sucre airport to for
your flight to La Paz. Rest of the day at leisure for
exploring La Paz on your own. (B)
Day 14 Depart La Paz to North America
Morning transfer to the airport for your flight back
home..(B)
