Day 1: Depart North America
Your Brazilian odyssey begins as you board your
flight to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Day 2: Arrive Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio this afternoon. Upon arrival you will
be met and transferred to your hotel. The balance of
your day is at leisure to relax and pursue
independent activities,
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro - City Tour / Corcovado / /
Dinner and samba show
This morning, ride by cable car to the summit of
Sugar Loaf Mountain. Take in spectacular views of
the city from Corcovado to Guanabara Bay and Niteroi
Bridge. Later, descend and drive along the Lebion
and famous Ipanema beaches before stopping for lunch
at the Art Deco Cafι Confeitaria Colombo, one of
Rios oldest cafes. Your afternoon tour includes a
visit to Corcovado, upon which stands the Christ
Redeemer statue. En route, see Rodrigo de Freitas
Lagoon and the traditional Cosme Velho neighborhood.
Take a cogwheel train to the famous statue and enjoy
the stunning vista before descending. Evening enjoy
dinner at a typical Barbecue House followed by Samba
music show. (BLD)
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro / Manaus
Fly to Manaus, situated on the banks of the Negro
river. The capital of the state of Amazon, Manaus is
an important center for ecological tourism. One of
its most popular attractions is the Ponta Negra
beach, 8 miles from the centre of the city, where,
when the river is low, the sands are exposed right
down to the river bed, forming a beautiful contrast
with the dark waters of the river itself. (B)
Day 5: Manaus / Half day city tour
After breakfast, embark on your tour of Manaus.
Visit the Municipal Market, built at the beginning
of the century. Inside its metallic structure, we
can find regional products like fish, fruits and
herbs. Drive pass the Government Palace and the
creek with the typical houses on stilts (palafitas).
Proceed to the Indian museum, belonging to the
Salesian Roman Catholic Nuns, where we can
appreciate some of the culture of the local upper
Rio Negro tribes. Our final stop is the Amazon Opera
House, Inaugurated in 1896, is the main symbol from
the golden ages of the rubber boom. (B)
Day 6: Manaus Amazon Ecopark
Morning embark on your full day tour of the meeting
of the Waters, including lunch. Optional canoes ride
with an opportunity for Piranha fishing (additional
charge). Following the tour, proceed to Amazon
Ecopark Jungle Lodge. (BLD).
Day 7: Amazon Ecopark
Following breakfast, enjoy a Nature Hike. Rest of
the morning is at leisure. Late afternoon, visit a
home of the Native Amazonian residents. Following
dinner, enjoy evening tour by canoe for Alligator
Spotting. (BLD)
Day 8:Amazon Ecopark Manaus
Late morning transfer to Manaus airport for your
flight back home, (B)

Arrive back home.
