DAY 1 - ARRIVE AUCKLAND
On arrival in Auckland, 'The City of Sails', you will be met by our local representative and privately transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2 - AUCKLAND - COROMANDEL
Depart Auckland and travel the scenic route south to the Coromandel Peninsula. Visit the historic township of Thames, famous for its goldmining in the 1900's, then continue over the spectacular, semi-tropical bush clad mountains to Pauanui. (B)

DAY 3 - COROMANDEL
Visit the world famous Hot Water Beach where the hot water bubbles out of the sand so hot it can burn your feet! Take a gentle farmland walk to visit the beautiful Cathedral Cove for a walk or swim (optional boat transfer into Cathedral Cove can be arranged). After lunch (own expense), you will have a free afternoon. You might like to take a tour of the Whitianga Harbour by glass-bottomed boat if time permits. Optional activities not included in the tour price. (B)

DAY 4 - COROMANDEL - TAURANGA
Depart at your leisure this morning for the short coastal drive to Tauranga. Highly recommended is an optional flight to White Island this afternoon, an active volcano situated off the coast of Tauranga (optional activities not included). (B)

DAY 5 - TAURANGA
Today is at leisure to enjoy Tauranga and the beaches of nearby Mt Maunganui. Included is a nighttime kayaking tour to view glowworms - no experience is required for this wonderful and unique activity! (B)

DAY 6 - TAURANGA - ROTORUA
A short drive through the countryside this morning to the geothermal city of Rotorua will allow you a free afternoon to explore the city. This evening enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert. (B,D)

DAY 7 - ROTORUA - AUCKLAND
Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mudpools and roaring geysers. Following this, visit Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand's trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand sheep and farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of the industry. This afternoon return to Auckland through the lush Waikato region. (B)

DAY 8 - DEPARTURE AUCKLAND
Your arrangements conclude today with a departure transfer to the airport. We trust you enjoyed your North Island Vacations! (B)
