Day 1 Mon: Sydney – Griffith
Depart Sydney and travel along the Hume Highway via Goulburn and Wagga Wagga to Griffith. Enjoy a Welcome Drink this evening with your Tour Director. Then, overnight at the GRIFFITH MOTOR INN.

Day 2 Tue: Griffith – Adelaide
We travel via vast Hay Plains and Mildura, located on the mighty Murray River. We cross the South Australian border and travel to Adelaide. Clients joining this afternoon (Tour Code: NZZA) will be transferred from Adelaide Airport (flights to arrive prior to 4.00pm). Overnight at the STAMFORD PLAZA. B

Day 3 Wed: Adelaide – Flinders Ranges
See the sights of Adelaide on an orientation tour before we make our way north and sample some local wines at Sevenhill Cellars. Later we visit historic Quorn, before travelling through the Flinders Ranges and into Wilpena Pound, where we’ll overnight at the WILPENA POUND RESORT. B

Day 4 Thu: Port Augusta
Enjoy time to explore Wilpena Pound, a remarkable natural amphitheatre. This afternoon travel through Pitchi Richi Pass to Port Augusta and visit the Wadlata Outback Centre.
Overnight at the MAJESTIC OASIS APARTMENTS. B

Day 5 Fri: Coober Pedy
Visit Woomera, synonymous with the testing of long range missiles and rockets during the cold war and which still operates as the largest land-based range in the western world, before travelling to Coober Pedy, the opal capital! Visit an underground church and home and discover how the locals live in this unique town. Overnight at the DESERT CAVE HOTEL. B

Day 6 Sat: Uluru (Ayers Rock)
We cross the border into the Northern Territory and continue to Ayers Rock. This evening enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as the sun sets over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is renowned. There is the option to join the Sounds of Silence Dinner tonight. Overnight at the DESERT GARDENS HOTEL. B

Day 7 Sun: Kata Tjuta (the Olgas)
This morning you may wish to join an early tour to view sunrise at Uluru. Afterwards travel by coach to Kuniya Piti, an Aboriginal sacred site at the base of Uluru. Your guide will escort you on a walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, pointing out the natural features of the landscape, Aboriginal rock paintings and traditional Aboriginal stories relating to the special place. Experience the sheer size of Uluru as your guide explains the geological formation, Aboriginal history and the flora and fauna unique to this area. Visit the informative Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. This afternoon see the massive series of domes known as Kata Tjuta. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two domes. Enjoy sunset with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine followed by a barbecue dinner under the stars. Overnight at the DESERT GARDENS HOTEL. B HD

Day 8 Mon: Kings Canyon
Travel to Kings Canyon today. For the energetic, a guided climb to the Canyon rim will be rewarded with magnificent views of Watarrka National Park. Or you may prefer to explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor, an easier walk.
Overnight at the KINGS CANYON RESORT. B

Day 9 Tue: Alice Springs
Leaving Watarrka National Park behind, we travel through to Alice Springs. See the sights of Alice Springs including the Royal Flying Doctor Service, School of the Air and the Telegraph Station. We stop for panoramic views of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill. Overnight at the ALICE SPRINGS RESORT. B

Day 10 Wed: Alice Springs Desert Park
This morning spend time with a local Aboriginal guide. You will learn of life and survival of the Arrente People, including bush food, the search for water and Kinship. This will be followed by a visit to the Alice Springs Desert Park. Learn about Australia's unique desert marsupials and reptiles. Visit the Nocturnal House and Nature Theatre. This afternoon we travel to Angkerle (Standley Chasm), surrounded by masses of vegetation including cycads, ferns and river gums and Simpsons Gap with its lovely river red-gum scenery. Overnight at the ALICE SPRINGS RESORT. B

Day 11 Thu: Tennant Creek
Travelling north we arrive at Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles). There is time to walk around these precariously balanced boulders. On arrival in Tennant Creek we join a local guide for a tour of the historic Battery Hill Precinct. Tour an underground mine and experience the life of an early miner. Tonight enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner at the Battery Mine Centre. Overnight at the ELDORADO MOTOR INN. B HD

Day 12 Fri: Mataranka Thermal Springs
Travel across vast outback stations. Visit the historic Daly Waters Hotel, before continuing into 'Never Never' country. Stop at the tropical oasis of Mataranka for a relaxing dip in the thermal springs or stroll through the Elsey Homestead replica. Overnight at the PARAWAY MOTEL. B

Day 13 Sat: Katherine Gorge – Kakadu
We join our local guide on an early morning cruise through Katherine Gorge. Visit the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre and then continue deep into Kakadu National Park. Travel to Ubirr and climb to the top of this rocky outcrop for rewarding views. We stop at Bowali Visitor Centre. The displays here will take you on a journey through Kakadu's varied habitats and landscapes. Overnight at the GAGUDJU CROCODILE HOLIDAY INN. B

Day 14 Sun: Darwin
Join a cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong. We should see a variety of bird life and with luck, we may also see the feared estuarine crocodile basking in the muddy shallows. This afternoon travel to Darwin and enjoy a sightseeing tour of this tropical city on arrival. Overnight at the SAVILLE PANDANAS. B

Day 15 Mon: Litchfield National Park
We travel to Litchfield National Park to see beautiful Florence Falls and the mysterious Magnetic Termite Mounds. Return to Darwin this afternoon to overnight at the SAVILLE PANDANAS. B

Day 16 Tue: Depart Darwin
Your tour concludes this morning after breakfast. You will be transferred to Darwin Airport to connect with your onward flight. B
