Founded in 1782 on the eastern banks of the Chao Phraya River by King Rama I, who established the Chakri dynasty, Bangkok was originally named Rattanakosin and later Krung Thep, which means “City of Angels.”

Bangkok offers abundant attractions, outstanding cuisine and incredible shopping bargains. The magnificent Grand Palace, the innumerable wats (temples), the floating markets and gardens and the traditional dances all combine to charm and disarm even the most wary traveler. The Thai people are extremely friendly and hospitable.

Your three-night package includes accommodations in the choicest hotels Bangkok has to offer, daily American breakfasts, round-trip transfers and a visit to the stunning Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple.
