1: Arrive Kuching
Arrive in Kuching, capital of the state of
Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo. Kuching is a lovely
inland port with an interesting waterfront,
landscaped parks and historical buildings. Upon
arrival, met and transferred to KUCHING HILTON
Day 2: Lemanak River Excursion
Embark on a truly exotic adventure. Your river
safari takes you deep into the jungle as you travel
via the legendary Lemanak River. Enjoy the
experience as you meet former headhunters and share

Day 3: Kuching
Return to Kuching this morning where your tour
will include a visit to the Sarawak Museum, Market
Place, State Mosque and Historical Chinese Temple
(plus a river cruise for a scenic view of the Astana
- Residence of the former White Rajah and the

Day 4: Kuching / Kota Kinabalu
Fly to the “Land below the Wind,” as Kota
Kinabalu (the capital of the state of Sabah) is
popularly known.

Day 5 : Mt. Kinabalu Excursion
At 13,455 Mt. Kinabalu is the highest mountain
in all of South East Asia! Indigenous peoples
traditionally regard it as the sacred homeland of
spirits and the final resting place of departed
souls. Visit the national park at the base of the
volcano. A nature walk allows time to photograph
spectacular and rare flora and fauna, including
vibrantly colored butterflies and insects. SHANGRI-LA`S

Day 6 : Sandakan Excursion / Kuala Lumpur
Fly to Sandakan, home to the famed “Wild Men of
Borneo” (the orangutan). The morning is reserved for
an extensive visit to Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary
for the unique pleasure of a close encounter with
the friendly “people of the forest.” Tread dense
jungle paths and learn how orphaned orangutan babies
are nurtured and taught skills they need prior to
release back into the jungles. Later, fly across the
South China Sea to the mainland and the capital city
of Kuala Lumpur. This modern garden city reflects
its British colonial past and Moorish culture. JW

Day 7: Malacca Excursion
Malacca is steeped in history. It was colonized
by the Portuguese in 1511, the Dutch in 1641, and
the British in 1824. This former capital city
features an interesting blend of architecture &
legacies of its former rulers. Visit the ruins of St
Paul`s Church and the Stadthuys, believed to be the
oldest Dutch building in the East, now housing the

Day 8: Kuala Lumpur / Home
Your morning tour of the city covers the major
historical landmarks such as King's Palace, National
Monument, and Merdeka (Independence) Square. Enjoy a
panoramic view of the city from the observation deck
of the KL Tower. Afternoon transfer to the airport
