Morning at leisure. This afternoon enjoy a tour of Old Delhi
iincluding the Red Fort, Raj Ghat — a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner featuring typical North Indian Mughlai Cuisine at Punjabi By Nature.

Feb 24: New Delhi Sightseeing (B)
This morning enjoy a tour of New Delhi. Drive along Rajpath, the capital’s broadest avenue, for a view of the Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. Afternoon at leisure.

Feb 25: Delhi / Varanasi - Sarnath (B)

Feb 26: Varanasi / Khajuraho - Western Temples (B)
Early this morning take a boat ride on the Ganges to witness an awesome spiritual spectacle. Later walk through the old walled city and observe the sights and sounds of this holy city. Early this afternoon fly to Khajuraho.

Early morning sunrise visit of the Taj Mahal a monument to the memory of love. Your romantic encounter is further enhanced by the opportunity of viewing this beautiful edifice in the warm glow of the rising sun. Following breakfast visit the Agra Fort. Afternoon at leisure. Drive to Jaipur today, en route visiting the abandoned, but perfectly preserved Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This is a masterpiece of Muslim, Hindu and Jain architecture, unique to India. Check in upon arrival at the TRIDENT HOTEL (Garden View Room). Dinner & Folk dance show at Chowki Dhani.

Mar 2: Amber Fort & Jaipur City Tour (B)
Visit the Amber Fort this morning. Enjoy an exhilarating ride atop a caparisoned elephant from the foothill to the ramparts of the fort. Later this afternoon proceed on a city tour of Jaipur driving past the facade of the Hawa Mahal, visiting the city palace, the ancient observatory - Jantar Mantar - and the local bazaar.

Transfer upon arrival to the LAKE PALACE HOTEL (Luxury room). Tour Udaipur, the “City of Lakes,” known as one of the most picturesque and romantic cities of India. Mar 10: Polonnaruwa (BL)
Visit Polonnaruwa, the Capitol of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th century, a well-planned medieval city defended by enclosing walls, graced by palaces, shrines, monasteries, pavilions, parks, ponds and irrigation lakes.

Mar 11: Habarana / Sigiriya / Kandy (B)
Depart this morning for Sigiriya and climb the Rock Fortress, built by King Kassapa in the 05thcentury A.D. which was a Royal Citadel for more than 18 years. See the famous frescoes of the “Heavenly maidens” of Sigiriya. Continue on to Kandy, en route visiting a spice garden in Matale. Later this afternoon, visit the pink painted famous Temple of the Tooth which houses a sacred relic, the tooth of the Buddha. Also visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Late this evening enjoy the Kandyan Cultural show at the Kandyan Arts & Cultural
Centre. Overnight at the MAHAWELI REACH HOTEL (Superior room).

Mar 12: Kandy / Pinnawela / Colombo (B)
Depart for Colombo this morning en rout visiting the Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala. This orphanage was set up by the government to take care of baby elephants lost or abandoned in the wild. Thereafter proceed to Colombo. Overnight at the MOUNT LAVINIA HOTEL (Bay Wing Room).

This morning enjoy a Colombo city tour. Visit the National Museum with its fine collection of antiques and art of Sri Lanka and stop at Buddhist and Hindu temples. Transfer to the airport this afternoon to board the flight to Chennai.

Airfares: Based on current fares and subject to change without notice UNTIL TICKETED. Airfares are based on the current lowest fare, and subject to availability of the applicable class of service. it may be necessary to re-quote a fare at the time of booking, depending on availability. At time of final payment, please check for any applicable increase in taxes and fuel surcharges. Airfares are subject to different rules and cancellation fees. Insurance: We strongly recommend Travel Insurance. Pre-existing conditions are covered PROVIDED Insurance premium is paid with deposit or within 14 days thereof. Alternatively, premium may be paid with final payment. Insurance cannot be purchased after final payment has been received by SITA. Insurance is non-refundable. A signed Acknowledgement, provided by SITA, is required by the passenger whether accepting or declining SITA’s insurance.

Tour Reservations: SITA requires an initial deposit of $500.00 per person to commence reservations. Further deposits may be required by hotels and airline/s to be determined at the time of booking. This amount less the administrative fees will be refunded if the cancellations are received 90 days or more prior to departure, or adjusted with the balance due 90 days prior to departure.

Payments: SITA accepts tour payments by check and /or Visa, Mastercard, American Express, & Discover credit cards. Signed statement on SITA form required by each client charging on credit cards, along with a copy of the cardholders drivers license or passport must be received by SITA in order to charge the card. A copy of the form will be supplied by SITA.

Cancellation policy: Cancellations received 90 days or more prior to departure: $250 per person; 89-60 days: $500 per person per tour and per tour extension; 59-45 days: 25% of the tour price; 44-31 days: 50% of the tour price; 30 days or less: 100% of the tour price. Please refer to SITA’s India brochure for applicable details. Your deposit for the tour is your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
