Tours Overview
A delightful combination that features the ancient, long-isolated temples of Angkor, the teeming vibrancy of Bangkok and the pristine beauty of Thailand’s most famous beach resort, this itinerary highlights three of the most alluring destinations in South East Asia. Explore the myth and magic of the Khmer ruins, the high-wattage excitement of Bangkok and the laid back tropical beauty of Phuket.

Day 1- Arrive Siem Reap

Arrive this afternoon in Siem Reap in Northern Cambodia, your base for visiting the fabulous ancient sites of Angkor, one of the wonders of world. You are met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 - Angkor Wat Excursion
Your exploration begins with the Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat and surrounding sites. Strolling through the massive hallways, you will find many small shrines still in use by the local people at this ancient site. Picturesque Ta Prohm remains overgrown, presenting oddly haunting and exotic scenes. View Angkor Wat at sunset from Phnom Bakheng. (B)

Day 3 - Angkor Thom Excursion

See Angkor Thom or "Great City," in some ways even more spectacular than colossal Angkor Wat, as it had nearly disappeared into the jungle. Your day includes a boat ride on Tonle Sap. (B)

Day 4 - Siem Reap / Bangkok

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok, the vibrant and throbbing capital city of Thailand. You are welcomed and escorted to your hotel. Built on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, this "City of Angels" has a fascinating appeal that is difficult to resist. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5 - Klongs and China Town Tour / Grand Palace & Wat Po
Travel by motor launch on the picturesque Chao Phraya River and canals, or klongs, to observe the serene family homes and temples along the waterways. You will pass the famous Royal Barges, excellent samples of Thai craftsmanship and stop at Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Then visit Grand Palace, the former residence for the Thai kings. Visit the Reception Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Funeral Hall and the beautiful Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Keo. Visit Wat Po, one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok. Ride on a tuk-tuk, a three-wheeled taxi, to Chinatown for a short walk. (BL)
