The Lower Zambezi National Park is a
wilderness area situated on the banks of the Zambezi
River, which attracts abundant wildlife and creates
superb canoeing and game viewing opportunities. Home
to lions, leopards, herds of elephants and
buffaloes, hippos and over 300 bird species. Quietly
drifting past a huge elephant as it is feeding, is
an unparalleled experience! We encourage you to
visit Zambia in the “Emerald Season” (Nov-mid-May).
This is a most spectacular time of the year in the
Luangwa Valley, and excellent value as the rates are
lower.
South Luangwa marks the end of the Great Rift
Valley. The oxbow lagoons, woodlands and plains of
the valley host lost of game including elephant,
buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe, hippo and over 400
species of birds.
