Day 1 Mon: Depart: North America
Your journey begins as you board your flight to
London.
Day 2 Tue: London / Cape Town
Arrive in London and connect with your evening
flight to South Africa.
SOUTH AFRICA
Day 3 Wed: Arrive Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town, where you are met and escorted
to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. HOLLOW
ON THE SQUARE (First Class) or TABLE BAY HOTEL

Day 4 Thu: Cape Town & Winelands
Tour the old Cape Malay Quarter and visit the South
African Museum before driving out into the scenic
valleys of the Winelands. Sample local wines at an
estate, and then continue to the historic Dutch town
of Stellenbosch for lunch (at your own expense).
Enjoy a tour of this charming town with a visit to
the museum. (B)
Day 5 Fri: Cape Peninsula
Today, explore the Cape Peninsula. Drive along the
False Bay coastline via Boulders Beach (penguin
colony) to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
Cape Point, at the tip of the peninsula, is regarded
as the meeting place of the Indian and Atlantic
Oceans. Return to Cape Town via the scenic Atlantic
Coastline. (B)
Day 6 Sat: Cape Town / Kruger - Sabi Sands
Fly via Johannesburg to TINGA GAME LODGE (First
Class) located within the Kruger National Park, or
SABI SABI (Deluxe) located in a private game reserve
bordering Kruger National Park. Enjoy your first
afternoon/ evening game drive. Later, experience a
delicious dinner under the starlit sky. (BLD)
Days 7 & 8 Sun & Mon: Kruger - Sabi Sands
Roam the reserve in open 4WD vehicles in search of
elephants, leopards, cheetahs, kudus, giraffes, Cape
buffaloes, hippos and other species. Other
activities offered include interpretive bush walks,
bird watching, game viewing from hides and river
fishing. (BLD)
Day 9 Tue: Kruger - Sabi Sands Game Reserve /
Johannesburg
Enjoy one last morning game drive before you fly to
Johannesburg, South Africa’s commercial and cultural

BOTSWANA
Day 10 Wed: Johannesburg / Livingstone / Chobe
National Park
Fly to Livingstone, Zambia and from there you are
escorted by road and boat to Chobe National Park in
Botswana. Stay at either CHOBE SAFARI LODGE (First
Class) or CHOBE GAME LODGE (Deluxe) overlooking the
Chobe River and Caprivi floodplain. These combined
wetlands, dry woodlands and savannas are home to a
huge elephant population. Enjoy a late afternoon
sunset cruise. (BD)
Day 11 Thu: Chobe National Park
Take morning and afternoon game drives in open 4WD
vehicles and powerboats. At day’s end, return to the
lodge for another spectacular sunset on the Chobe
River. (BLD)
ZAMBIA
Day 12 Fri: Chobe / Livingstone
After a morning game drive, return to Livingstone.
Take an evening sundowner cruise on the Zambezi

Day 13 Sat: Livingstone (Victoria Falls)
Tour the falls with its vast curtain of water that
is nearly a mile wide and 355 feet high. The
afternoon is at leisure for optional activities such
as Elephant-back Safari, bungee jumping, Flight of
Angels and others. (B)
Day 14 Sun: Livingstone / Johannesburg
Fly to Johannesburg. For those continuing on to
Kenya, the afternoon is at leisure to rest before
the next part of your safari in Kenya. SOUTHERN SUN
JOHANNESBURG AIRPORT (First Class) or AIRPORT SUN
INTERCONTINENTAL (Deluxe) (B).
Note: For those visiting
southern Africa only, depart Johannesburg this
evening to arrive home on Day 15. Or perhaps extend
your safari into Namibia or Mozambique.
KENYA
Day 15 Mon: Johannesburg / Nairobi
Fly to Kenya. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you are met
and escorted to your luxurious accommodations at
NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL. (B)
Day 16 Tue: Nairobi / Mount Kenya
Drive through the fertile central highlands to
SERENA MOUNTAIN LODGE on the flanks of Kenya’s
highest mountain and secreted deep within her
largest forest reserve. Fall asleep to the symphony
of the African night or sit in stillness and observe
the fascinating interplay of the animals as they
arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the
water hole. (BLD)
Day 17 Wed: Mount Kenya / Sweetwaters Game
Reserve
Awake to the trumpeting of elephant before we
continue to Sweetwaters Game Reserve for a game
drive and a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
SWEETWATERS TENTED CAMP (BLD)
Day 18 Thu: Sweetwaters / Masai Mara Game Reserve
Fly across the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara
Game Reserve, the highlight of any East African
safari. MARA SERENA SAFARI LODGE (BLD)
Day 19 Fri: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara,
widely considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife
reserve. A balloon safari is also available
(additional cost).
Day 20 Sat: Masai Mara / Nairobi / Depart
Enjoy one last morning game drive in Masai Mara Game
Reserve before returning to Nairobi by air. A day
room is provided at the NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL. You
have the option of visiting the Karen Blixen Museum
and Giraffe Manor (additional charge) before your
departure. Alternatively, end this tour with a
relaxing beach holiday along the East African Coast.
