9 Days – Okavango, Chobe, Victoria Falls

Day 1  Arrive Maun / Okavango Delta
Arrive Maun where you will be assisted onto your charter flight into the Okavango Delta.  As you fly over the Delta you can see the intricate twisting and turning of the waterways and the ever-changing colors where dry land meets water.

Moremi Crossing is located on an Island called Ntswi near the most southern part of Chief’s Island. The channels around Moremi Crossing offer far reaching vistas of the Moremi floodplain, grasslands and marginal woodlands interspersed with Mokolwane palm islands. Accommodation is provided in comfortable 16 vintage en-suite safari tents, each with its own private wooden deck. The main area consists of a large open plan split level deck that offers spectacular views over the Boro River onto Chiefs Island. The dining room, bar and lounge are covered by a large thatched roof with the decked areas leading out to the pool. The whole camp is shaded by magnificent palms, giant ebony, mangosteen, sausage and giant fig trees. The camp has 24hr solar powered electricity/ lightning.

Moremi Crossing is a water based camp and therefore access to the camp from the airstrip is either by mokoro or motor boat. Activities on offer include mokoro excursions, guided walks and water levels permitting sunset cruises by motorboat. All these activities give the guests the chance to experience the Okavango Delta and its game from a very different slower and closer perspective.

Day 2  Okavango Delta
Today, enjoy the activities offered by your camp.

Day 3  Okavango Delta
After an early morning activity and breakfast (time permitting), transfer to the airstrip for the flight and road transfer to your next camp.

Sango Safari Camp is nestled in the shade of the trees overlooking the Khwai River. Situated on the outskirts of the traditional village of Khwai and on the border of Moremi Game Reserve, the camp offers guests the perfect base from which to explore the wildlife and culture of this unique habitat. This intimate safari camp is named for the Sango Family, some of the original inhabitants of the Khwai area, and now part owners of the camp. Guests will have the chance to learn first hand about the unique lifestyle and experiences that come from living and growing up in one of the most wildlife rich areas of Botswana.  Accommodating 10 guests in 5 en-suite meru tents, Sango Safari Camp is designed in the style of the classic tented safari camp of days gone by. With its open-air bucket showers, hand crafted furnishings and classic styling Sango Safari Camp aims to rekindle the atmosphere of the luxury mobile safari camp, successfully blending the rustic with the luxurious.  With the Khwai River forming a natural border between the world famous Moremi Game Reserve and Khwai Concession, animals can travel freely through this vast unfenced wilderness. Situated on the river overlooking the Moremi and with access to both these magnificent wildlife areas, Sango Safari Camp is focused on delivering an exceptional wildlife experience to our guests. The camp’s location allows guests to take advantage of a host of wildlife activities which include open vehicle game drives both in the Moremi and in the Khwai concession area, guided bush walks and night drives. 

With a combination of permanent water, seasonal floodplains, open grasslands, riverine forests, and dry woodlands this incredibly rich habitat supports a diversity and abundance of mammals and birds rarely matched in northern Botswana. Sango Safari Camp invites you to share in this bounty.

Day 4  Okavango Delta
Today, enjoy the activities offered by your camp.

Day 5  Okavango Delta / Chobe National Park
Following the morning activity (time permitting), fly to Chobe National park and transfer to your lodge. 

Kubu Lodge is a small, privately owned lodge on the banks of the Chobe River, on the doorstep of the world famous Chobe National Park.  Set upon rolling lawns and shaded beneath giant ebony and wild fig trees, the lodge offers a haven just outside the centre of Kasane, with panoramic views of the Chobe River. Accommodation consists of eleven charming thatched chalets on stilts with full en-suite facilities, ceiling fan, mosquito nets and tea and coffee making facilities. Each chalet has a view of the river and it is an excellent choice for families offering several family chalets and warm hospitality.  The main lodge facilities include a bar, restaurant, curio shop and a secluded swimming pool. There is also a nature trail for bird watching enthusiasts. The lodge co-ordinates game viewing activities which can include game drives into the Chobe National Park and boat cruises on the Chobe River and a nature trail for bird watching enthusiasts.

Day 6  Chobe National Park
Today, enjoy the activities offered by your camp.

Day 7  Chobe / Victoria Falls
Transfer by road to Victoria Falls. 

The Kingdom hotel at Victoria Falls, its distinctive Zimbabwean design is based on the Great Zimbabwe Monument in Masvingo, provides this 4-Star property with a unique feel and atmosphere. Built around a man-made water feature, the 294 bedrooms create the impression of having been built on a lake. Accommodation consists of a variety of rooms with all the modern days’ amenities. With a food court, bars and one of Zimbabwe's finest and most attractive casino's The Kingdom at Victoria Falls has it all, and is the nearest hotel to the mighty Victoria Falls.  The train and bus station, as well as shopping areas are all a stone's throw away from The Kingdom. The entrance to the renowned Victoria Falls is just a five minute walk from the hotel.

Day 8  Victoria Falls
At leisure to explore on your own or choose from a host of optional activities such as a guided tour of the Falls, elephant back safari, helicopter ride, canoe trips, white water rafting and more.

Day 9  Depart Victoria Falls
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
